1.2.0 - Shortcuts changes
Hello everyone! It’s time for another update blog post, I just submitted version 1.2.0 to the review today and it should be out in the coming days.
In this version, I updated the Shortcuts to use a list of brokers rather than having to manually type in the names. This means that when you create a new Shortcut in the Shortcuts app, you’ll be able to select your broker from your list of favourites. This change should make it easier to set up new Shortcuts. Unfortunately, it also means that all existing Shortcuts will have to be updated in the Shortcuts app. Just edit the Shortcut and select a Broker for the broker field. Shortcuts without a broker selected will use the one the app is currently connected to.
I also received some feedback from someone using a free broker with Client ID limits. EasyMQTT had a random client ID before, meaning with every launch it got a new ID. I changed this now to be the static ID “EasyMQTT”, in the future I might add the option to select/set your own client ID.
Besides those two things, I made some smaller changes to work on the upcoming macOS version of the app. I will be submitting it to the Mac App Store soon. In-app purchases between the iOS and Mac app are shared, so if you bought EasyMQTT Plus on iOS you’ll get it on macOS as well!
